(1) Type, size, brewing batch and yield calculation of saccharification equipment

One mashing batch: the mashed wort is filled with the fermenter for fermentation, and the time from the crushing of the malt to the wort entering the fermenter is 7 to 8 hours. The daily output is equal to the volume of the fermenter multiplied by the number of fermenters divided by the number of days in the beer fermentation cycle.

The volume ratio of the saccharification equipment and the fermenter is generally 1:1, 1:2…that is to say, the volume of the fermenter is a multiple of the saccharification.

The fermentation cycle of ale and wheat beer is one to two weeks, and the fermentation cycle of barley and lager beer is 2-4 weeks. If the fermentation cycle is calculated as an average of 12 days, the capacity of the fermentation tank is 500L, and there are 6 fermentation tanks.

Daily output (L) = fermenter capacity (500L) × number of fermenters (6) ÷ beer fermentation cycle (12 days), then the daily output can be calculated as 250L.
